Amex App Reviews

I love this app. It is very fluid and smooth. More importantly, it is very useful and easy to use. It keeps me very up to date with my finances. My only complaint is that the pull down refresh feature seems to have disappeared within the last couple updates. I loved making payments, then from the main screen showing my balance and available credit, I could pull the page down and itd refresh and show me the updated available credit. As this feature is gone now, I have to sign out and sign back in to see the refreshed available credit. That is a pain in the neck and a waste of time. Please bring this feature back! Easy five stars for me with this feature back.

What a stupid decision to remove the ability to view transactions by authorized users! Its very inconvenient :(

American Express continues to have poor mobile and desktop app design.

The app crashes every time. The previous version worked great! I have deleted and reinstalled three times and continue to have same problem. Please fix ASAP!

Maybe I will like this version better after I get used to it, but it seems to be a step backwards and more cumbersome to use for my purposes.

Quick and easy account access

This app was clearly farmed out to the cheapest (read: incompetent) company who bid on the job Does not take advantage of available technologies. Not stable. Not intuitive. Locks you out a lot. AMEX should fire the dev team and start from scratch.

This app has been stuck for two days in the download mode. I tried deleting the app to start over, but it will not let me. Therefore, it is totally useless to me.

The update wont download, so now the app is totally unusable. Please fix it asap!

App is good, but being able to view your current credit score and credit score history would be a great addition. Youre able to view it on the Amex website so its not like the information isnt there. Other apps for credit cards like Citi and SunTrust have this feature and aside from that I think the Amex app is better than them in every way...except for not being able to view your credit score.

Push Notifications are not working and are unable to edit in app

Terrible !!!! Worse app I have ever seen. The older version was much better American Express can afford to create much better app which will function and look better than this, my car wash guy has a better app

It loads fine for me and I dont think its terrible looking like others. However, its completely useless and had me scrambling to figure out what was wrong. Then I discovered the app is not showing any transactions from authorized users. Cmon, how does this app pass your QA without testing the ability to show all transactions? There are other glitches as well but this makes it useless for me.

This version has a great summary page. However, getting details about travel or making new travel reservations doesnt appear anywhere on the iPad. Member since 1976

This app is crap. It doesnt work, 3 calls into Amex and they say its fixed. I still cant log in... so no. It doesnt work, way to waste my time.

Keeps telling me there is no internet connection. Is this due to new update? App has become useless to me. :(

The former app was much better. The overview feature does not update the balance. Please change this app!

This is useless. All charges are not posted (although the totals are accurate). You cant follow your account because the individual charges are not there. It also doesnt look and feel right. Its really a mess. For the first time in many years weve gone back to following our charges on the Amex web site. This new app is very frustrating, and inconvenient.

Since upgrading to iOS 10 and 10.1 push notifications no longer work or can be configured. This is a major benefit for a financial app to prevent credit card fraud. Please fix ASAP!!!

Need to integrate banking and credit card under one app to use. It is good to see all accounts without maintaining multiple credentials.
